Alex looked at her, his eyes filled with understanding and love. "I love you too, Maddie. And I promise, from now on, I'll be more careful. I don't want to lose you either."

Breathless and shaken, they looked at each other and knew they had to get out of there, fast. The excitement and thrill that had filled them just moments before turned to fear and adrenaline. They quickly but carefully made their way back down the mountain, their minds racing with what could have happened.

It was a beautiful, sunny Saturday afternoon when Alex and Maddie decided to head out to their favorite spot for a day of adventure. Alex, an avid enthusiast of extreme sports, had recently taken up action video (AV) shooting as a hobby. He loved capturing his experiences on camera, from hiking through dense forests to skiing down steep slopes. Maddie, on the other hand, enjoyed the thrill of these activities but wasn't as keen on being on camera. However, she loved supporting Alex and often accompanied him on his adventures.

It wasn't until they stopped at a café for a quiet dinner that Maddie turned to Alex and said, "You know, I love watching you do what you love, but today scared me. I don't want to lose you."

As they ascended, the air grew hotter and the path steeper. Alex, excited to get some dynamic shots for his next video, decided to take a risk and climb a bit further than they had planned. He assured Maddie that it would be worth it and that he would be careful. Maddie, trusting Alex's experience, agreed to follow.

Once they were safely back in their car, driving away from the danger zone, they both let out a sigh of relief. The day that had started out with such promise had turned into a close call. They didn't speak much on the drive home, both lost in their thoughts.

Just as Alex was setting up for a particularly tricky shot, a sudden rockslide started above them. Alex, caught off guard, quickly grabbed Maddie and pulled her close, pushing them both out of the way just in time. The sound of crashing rocks filled the air as they huddled together, watching in horror as the debris rushed past them, some of it hitting the ground mere feet away.
