Park Soo-ha is now 18, handsome, and still has his mind-reading ability. He has spent his life training his body and mind, always remembering his promise to protect Hye-sung. He has also kept a secret: he knows where she is. He watches her from afar.
Hiding behind a stack of boxes, Soo-ha witnesses a gruesome scene: a young man named is brutally attacking another man with a rock. Terrified, Soo-ha makes a tiny sound. Joon-gook hears it. He turns and sees Soo-ha’s face. The killer locks eyes with the boy, then flees.
Soo-ha decides to approach her. He enrolls in the same high school near her office, but more importantly, he starts secretly following her.
Soo-ha runs home, shaking. His father arrives, sees his son’s terror, and asks what happened. At that moment, Soo-ha hears something strange—not just his father’s voice, but a second layer of sound. He hears his father’s thoughts : “What happened to my son? He looks like he’s seen a ghost.”
