The military’s eyes lit up with the hunger of wolves. General Maddox, a man carved from granite and paranoia, wanted a demonstration on something larger. "Forget atoms," he growled. "Make the choice for a bullet. Left or right of a target." kj activator
Then his gaze fell on the open quantum log. The Cesium atom from the first test. It had decayed. He'd made it decay. But the log showed a second reading he'd missed—a faint, ghostly probability wave where the atom hadn't decayed, clinging to existence like a phantom limb. The KJ didn't erase other realities

"Dad. Mom fell down the stairs. She's not waking up."
