They soon realize the town is under siege by : massive, subterranean, carnivorous worms that sense vibrations. The Graboids can't see, but they can hear and feel footsteps from miles away. As the creatures pick off the townspeople one by one, Val, Earl, seismologist Rhonda LeBeck (Finn Carter), and survivalist couple Burt and Heather Gummer (Michael Gross & Reba McEntire) must use their wits to survive until help arrives.
